Little over 3 years ago, I had my first interview at Albion. At the time, there was no video department and was primarily a photography studio. Shooting video had been just an idea and I was nothing more than a newbie shooting stills of small products. Since then, I’ve managed creating over 200 videos, helped raise over $30,000 amount in gear, 50TB worth of storage space and two additional crew members for the department. I don’t know the exact numbers but I’m sure the company has made a very good profit from the video services! I’m very thankful for the opportunity my bosses have given me and very excited to see the video department at Albion grow bigger everyday. I have made my mama proud.
A lot has been happening since the summer. Here is a wrap up of some really cool creative project that is ongoing and completed. Thanks to Andy for all the BTS photos.
1. TEDDY BEAR short
Andy, Dustin and I have started making a short reel. The title is yet to be determined. But simply put, it’s a story about a teddy bear with epic camera tricks. Since the studio got so busy, the project is on hold for now.
2. RED SCARLET – X
At Albion, my team and I just finished shooting a big project on Red Scarlet -X. It was my first experience with the camera. Shooting in high shutter and 4 K raw required some serious storage space and lights. Pairing with the Kessler motorized slider and head, we had an epic set up for top quality production.
3. DRONE project on a playground shoot
We recently had an opportunity to work with a team specializing in flying a drone with a camera attached. The goal was to capture the playground from high above and also to capture footage on land.
– Two very exciting things have happened. My best buds Josh and Hollie got married on a gorgeous beach a month ago and I adopted a boxer mix 9 month old puppy from Bakti, my dreadlock lady.
